The APSCC selection committee emphasized that this award is given to a person or organization who has made an outstanding contribution to the promotion and development of the satellite industry in the Asia-Pacific region.

‘I am extremely honored by this award, which is a clear mark of recognition by the space communications industry,” said Jean-Yves Le Gall. “I accept this award on behalf of everybody at Arianespace, whose remarkable efforts have allowed us to maintain our industry leadership, especially in the Asia-Pacific region, where we have launched three-fourths of the satellites now in service.”
