New launch date for THEOS-2, FORMOSAT-7R/TRITON and auxiliary payloads
Additional checks on Flight VV23 Vega launcher are now complete, authorizing a new launch attempt for today, Sunday, October 8 at:
- 10:36 p.m. Kourou time;
- 01:36 a.m. Universal time (UTC), on October 9;
- 03:36 a.m. Paris time, October 9.
The launcher and its satellites, THEOS-2, FORMOSAT-7R/TRITON and the 10 auxiliary payloads remain in stable and safe conditions.

On October 6, Arianespace will launch two Earth observation satellites, THEOS-2(Thailand Earth Observation System-2), manufactured by Airbus Defence and Space for the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), and FORMOSAT-7R/TRITON for Taiwan Space Agency (TASA).
