Arianespace, the world's leading satellite launch company, is a partner in the exhibition "Space For Our Future", created by the European Commission and the European Space Agency (ESA). The exhibition runs from October 27 to November 13, 2014 at the Berlaymont building in Brussels, headquarters of the European Commission. The exhibition spotlights Europe's successes in space, the concrete benefits for its citizens and the developments expected in the near future.

Organized with support from Arianespace and French space agency CNES, the exhibition brings together all major European players in the space industry, including the main satellite operators. Arianespace was founded in 1980 to provide independent access to space for Europe. Since 2012, Arianespace offers a complete range of three launch vehicles, all fully operational at the Guiana Space Center in French Guiana: Ariane 5, Soyuz and Vega. Arianespace is the main launch services provider for the Galileo and Copernicus programs, conducted by ESA on behalf of the European Commission.

The exhibition is organized around three pillars: knowledge and innovation, services for citizens and competitiveness. It presents Europe’s main challenges and showcases the space programs and initiatives that will help meet these challenges.

The exhibition was inaugurated on October 28, 2014 in a ceremony attended by José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, Jean-Jacques Dordain, Director General of ESA, and Jean-Yves Le Gall, President of CNES. During the ceremony, Stéphane Israël, Chairman and CEO of Arianespace, said: “I would like to thank Mr. Barroso and the Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry for placing their trust in Arianespace over the last decade. Via their two flagship programs, Galileo and Copernicus, the European Commission has become Arianespace’s leading customer. We have launched nine satellites to date for the European Union, with 23 more to be orbited from now until 2017. We are proud to be a partner in this exhibition, which reflects Arianespace’s full-fledged commitment to our assigned mission, namely guaranteeing independent access to space for Europe, while also helping to deliver the services that will improve European citizens’ daily lives.”
