Arianespace reaffirmed its long-standing relationship with space insurance companies during the Annual General Meeting of the International Union of Aviation Insurers (IUAI).

The International Union of Aviation Insurers (IUAI), which groups the world’s leading insurance and reassurance companies for aviation and space, is holding its Annual General Meeting in Manchester, U.K., from June 6 to 10, 2010.

Space insurance plays a decisive role in the development of satellite operators,  which call on Arianespace’s services. Given their proven track records for reliability, both Ariane 5 and Soyuz (at the Guiana Space Center) enjoy the best insurance rates on the market.

Arianespace Chairman and CEO Jean-Yves Le Gall is the guest of honor at this year’s event. He said: “Risk management has always been an absolute priority for Arianespace. Our services are based on unyielding technical requirements and a policy of total transparency in relations with the insurance industry.”
