Arianespace confirms No. 1 position at 6th World Summit on the Space Transportation Business, organized by Euroconsult, underscoring its service offering for operators attending the event:

“Any mass, any orbit, any time.”

Top operators trust Arianespace
Arianespace underlined the competitiveness of its launch solutions by winning three high-profile contracts from operators DIRECTV and PanAmSat. Arianespace has maintained its global leadership in geostationary satellite launches, against the backdrop of a market that has stabilized but remains limited. Arianespace has inked seven launch contracts since the beginning of the year. Moreover, its Starsem subsidiary signed two contracts with the European Space Agency (ESA) for launch of Galileo experimental satellites.

Record order book
At September 9, 2004, the company’s order book totaled 36 satellites to be launched by Arianespace and five by Starsem. This gives it the largest order book in the launch services industry.

Ariane and Soyuz: the right solutions for all masses and all orbits With the successful launch in July of the world’s largest communications satellite, Anik F2 for North American operator Telesat, Ariane 5 confirmed its technical and operational maturity. In conjunction with Soyuz, the Ariane 5 launcher covers the complete array of mission needs.

Maximum flexibility
To address the requirements of a continually evolving market, Arianespace has conceived forward-looking solutions for its customers. One of the company’s core assets is the ability to offer the services of two launch vehicles. This strategy is bolstered by the Launch Services Alliance, which brings together Arianespace, Boeing Launch Services and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. The result is a service unrivaled worldwide, allowing customer to benefit from maximum flexibility and guaranteeing the launch of their spacecraft exactly when they need it.

Sustained operations
Arianespace has a full operational schedule in the months ahead:

  • 2 Ariane 5 launches, including the next launch of the Ariane 5 ECA,
  • 1 Soyuz launch from Baikonur.

This will be followed in 2005 by:

  • 5 or 6 Ariane 5 launches,
  • 3 Soyuz launches from Baikonur.
